It seems the people selling these products can directly and accurately measure your "Vitality" (life force), and also the Vitality of other organic substances. They state that an average human's Vitality is 20-80, but an apple was measured at 150 "before the plate" and then at 6000 Vitality "after the plate" - t017

It sounds great... but is this believable? I would be happy if they started by explaining how they measure Vitality, including an explanation of what it is and how it can be detected and measured in a quantifiable manner. Further, their site talks about "quantum nano technology" but fails to provide any explanation of what that is or how it works. The closest thing I found to a product description is an explanation that the "plate" is a water proof molded form (plastic?), and that all the power comes from the image itself. If that's the case, you should be able to reap the same benefits from printing off a copy of each image and standing on it - though size matters so you need to blow it up a bit.

Interesting that the writer's vitality was 5000 before the plate (remember the average human is 20-80 Vitality - much less than an apple's), but her chakras were only 3000. Immediately afterwards, her vitality jumped to 14000, and 24 hours later her chakras were at 17000. Does it make sense that her vitality is so much greater than another person's? Does it make sense that her vitality differs so much from that of her chakras both before and after?

I smell snake oil. Buyers beware!

If you are interested in this stuff, contact the manufacturer and demand a way of measuring your Vitality (quantifiably, as cited in their ads). If they can't/won't provide one, ask why. At least have them explain how they were able to provide numeric values of Vitality for their ads.

I'm very doubtful. However, I notice they claim to be able to purify water. That's so easy to test I'm betting they'll think better of it and take that particular claim off in the near future. (It's even potentially dangerous if people use it for that purpose.) If it was for real, wouldn't they be grabillionaires ruling the planet by now?

Yes, it is of my opinion that it's bunk as well. How do pretty pictures capture the physics described by the website? I dabble a little in modern and quantum physics and they really aren't making themselves clear or explaining how the product works.

But I do think that by gazing into a certain type of picture and focusing your thoughts on something you will notice a change, amongst the Tibetan Buddhists the image is known as a mandala. It IS the power of suggestion and I like how they made their website look extremely official and believable, they must have been able to tap into the market of using advertising to brainwash people. And there are definitely enough lonely people who feel lost and confused so what harm will that type of product bring them if it makes them feel more in control of their lives? (Except for the water purification claim mentioned by the previous poster!)

That said, I actually think the plates are really cool and would purchase a couple just for decoration!

I wouldn't go for it, but not because I don't doubt that it works, as much as because it comes from a Clairvoyant and one item specifically mentions it was "was brought back from a very high level of creation".

Some people who delve in this realm really are a bunch of "hooey", but enough do end up with "powerful" items - because power is... well, power (no matter how one says it is used). So, I won't discount it.

I've seen other things "work" in ways beyond imagination and very doubtful that they were the "power of suggestion". I'm 'ware all-right, but for other reasons.

I've tried some energetic type products before that I didn't understand in the least. If they are based on something real, there is a result that is unmistakable. Just because I don't understand a technology doesn't mean I dismiss it. In fact, I don't even require proof. I am the proof.

I haven't tried these and have no idea if they would work or not. If I were independently wealthy, I'd probably be trying all of em because I have that sort of adventuresome personality.

I admire your spirit, but I disagree that your personal perceptions of what occurred is proof of effectiveness.

John Hunter, the brilliant anatomist who revolutionized western medicine and other branches of biological science, was renowned for his adventurous delvings into nature's secrets. Using himself as an experimental patient, he "proved" that gonorrhea and syphilis were but a single disease treatable with a single cure. He was wrong. Despite his personal observations and intimate experience, his conclusions on the matter were completely mistaken, and he eventually died of complications resulting from the experiment. It wasn't long before another doctor, rigorously applying the scientific method, proved that syphilis and gonorrhea are two very different diseases requiring different treatment methods.

Personal experience with something may be emotionally powerful and seem convincing, but it is not proof.

Con men and magicians need you to believe your perceptions of what is occurring rather than question it. Otherwise magicians would really be doing magic instead of creating brilliant illusions, and con men would be enriching people instead of defrauding them with energetic "power plates" advertised on web sites.

I understand that we're going for semantics in this statement and I appreciate your vigor. But, you seem to be leaving out the "spiritual realm" in your response to this sort of thing. You may choose to dis-believe that and state that there is no proof due to an individuals perception. And I agree that the mind can play an immense role on many occasions. But, being around those who have witnessed "beyond belief" incidents and situations (specifically missionaries in the Bolivian and South American forests), there are real powers out there that can do this sort of thing, and certain powers I choose to not play with. You may choose to dis-believe that concept and of course, that will depend on how you feel about spiritual issues. But, to completely say it is hogwash may be a bit much. This particular website may not actually be the fruads you purport them to be. The question may more effectively be, do you want to delve into it?

In making a statement that this is some sort of mythical BS (although it very well may be, and there are plenty of people who are just playing on the mystical hopes, dreams and ideas of certain individuals), I leave you with the consideration that there may be more to this than meets the eye, and, more than just "snake-oil". Just because you don't have a tangible or personal sight-seen proof that things like this exist, doesn't make it so.

Just my opinion. I appreciate you trying to bring the concrete side of things into perspective, but in this case, I think you're leaving some important items out of the picture. Possibly because you personally haven't experienced that particular perspective.

I have no qualms admitting that I have had numerous experiences for which I can present no scientific explanation. At one time or another, I think everyone has one of "those" experiences. That's part of what keeps life interesting!

The "spiritual realm" is an open question. Some people make it sound like a blissful place, and others seem to fear it with their every breath. Others seem to feel that there is a neurophysiological explanation for such perceptions. *shrug* I don't know what to think. t017

I just have a strong desire for people to not be conned, nor taken in by lies and misinformation. It's impossible to spot/avoid them all, but we can try.
