If you named your kid after a celebrity, would it be more an embarassment...

...or honour to introduce them? Say you named your son Ozzy or your daughter Madonna, then a few years later you and your kid met that celebrity, so you had to say something like, "Hi, I'm so n so and this is my son Ozzy." Would you consider that more of an honour or a little embarassing (not that you and your kid get to meet them, but to admit TO the celebrity you named your kid after them)?

Embarrassing. That they mattered enough for me to name my child after them is giving them a lot of importance. I'd feel ashamed to have done that for that purpose!

It depends on what celebrity you name your kid after. If I was your son, I would be fine with the first name of a celebrity but having the full name would be weird. For example if I was your son and you named me Brad Pitt I would grow up with people thinking about the Brad Pitt instead of me. It's fine if you name your kid the first name of an actor/actress but the full name might put on some negative effects such as bullying.
