than sign up for a fruitless war? I would.

I would rather go to jail in protest than join an army to fight a war that we have no business fighting in.

Blair has a lot to answer for. I shan't be laying my life on the line because Blair decided to be Bush's poodle.

Many Americans disagreed with the draft process in the Vietnam conflict. Many of them went to jail for their beliefs.

It's not because you protest the war you WANKER! Your a coward and you know it! You feel it deep in your heart and stomach, you ask yourself countless time would you be able to pull the trigger. you try to persuade yourself that you got what it takes but you and I both know you wouldn't make the team. ask yourself this Nancy boy if you homeland was invaded by the Chinese and the north Koreans you would be praying for the US boys to show up and save your whole country. Mr Blair did what he had to do keep the most powerful country in the world as his ally we will be there to save our friends the UK mark my words. ask yourself this man would you help your friend if he was in a fight.

Hello Adison,

It seems that this question applies to military service in the United Kingdom.

It has little to do with the United States conscription program that is still working and is being operated behind the scenes. We "Yanks" still have to register for our military draft when we are between the ages of 18 - 25 years old.

It is "just" that the active draft has not been employed since we went to an All-Volunteer military force in 1973.

And, frankly, my British cousin, it makes NO difference what you think about President Bush. He was not your president anyway. And, I am sure if Her Majesty called upon you to do your "Duty" to England you are not that much of a "traitor" to refuse the call of duty.

Isn't Tony Blair out of office now? He has NOTHING to answer for. He has been out of office for the past 4 years!

If you have a gripe then take it up with the Parliament or Number 10 Downing Street and The Right Honourable David Cameron.
