I know a lot of CRT bros love Zona Blue but I still can't figure out what all the hype is about. 6 trips and i've only sessioned on my first trip. I have a better time hanging out with the guys. The chicas here are all plumpy, not my type. When is eddie going to hire some spinners?

On my last trip I met a nonCRT monger at the DR and he tells me he's heading over to Idem, I ask if I can accompany him. He says no problem. We jump in a cab and I'm surprised it's only a few blocks away.

We walk in and I am pleasantly surprised because there are about twelve hot spinners sitting against the wall. I like this place already. The chicas working here are better looking than those working at Zona Blue. I don't know who to pick so I turn around and invite the chica sitting behind me for a drink. she is a sweet chica. we talk and it doesn't take long before I decide it's time for me to take this chica upstairs. I usually spend a lot of time chatting them up but this chica was too freakin' cute and I had to have her at that moment. We head upstairs and she gives me a great massage before taking care of business.

We get back downstairs and already I want to take another one up but I've been drinking all day and I don't think I could handle another one in such a short period of time. DAmn, i should really take it easy on my drinking.

I will definetely be stopping back at Ideam on my next visit, at least once a day.

Interesting perspective Traylor. I've been to Idem three times and as much as I want to I cannot settle on a girl. Last trip in January I went in and all the girls seemed plump or greater. I tried to take a girl but she told me bj con condom and had a little attitude so I passed. I totally understand a girl wanting to protect herself it just wasn't what I wanted and I thought she was a little big anyway.

When were you last in Idem? I hate walking out of Idem without taking a girl because it's such a quality place and I know Robert is a great host. If the current lineup at Idem is spinners I'll go next week.

FWIW, I have noticed a few of the girls at ZB put on a few pounds.

Idem 2004

I visited Idem in September 2004. I like the place overall, with some qualifications.

First, the club is only open late afternoons through midnight. This is neither a massage parlor nor a bar with chicas, per se; the former would be open daytime hours, the latter would stay open later.

Secondly, unless you take the more expensive downstairs room (a.k.a. The Don Gordo Suite), it's quite a walk of shame to use the communal showers on the second floor. Most guys leave with fish nuts. :mrgreen:

Thirdly, drinks here are expensive, on a par with the ZB Cigar Bar and the BM. However, (and correct me if I'm wrong), I don't think girl drinks are more expensive.

On the plus side, if you take the girl back to your hotel after bar close, there's no exit fine ("salida"). Many Idem girls will do a few hours for around $70.00 off-premises.
Another plus is Roberto. He will time permitting, take the time to chat with you, figure out what you like and make rock-solid recommendations.
Idem's one-block proximity to both Tinjo and Esquina de Argentina make it a great stop before or after a meal. Also, Europa 2000 is right across the street, so if you feel like slumming, it's a short stroll. BTW, do not ever pay quoted gringo price at Europa; haggle your ass off.

If you're feeling particularly adventurous (the original meaning of Lou Reed's lyric, "Take a Walk on the Wild Side") there's always Puchos. :twisted: It's a club that Pooter and Brandon O. might enjoy. :wink: :

As with anyplace else in or near the Gulch, walking in this neighborhood is not recommended after dark.

I can't comment on any of the Idem girls working at this time, but the quality was about equal to ZB in 2004. Jenni, a hot little nica with bad fake boobs and an obvious substance preoccupation was my choice at Idem, and she satisfied. Ana and China have recently received good reviews.

I have always liked Idem though I go less than I did in my early trips since discovering the more local scene.It is a great place early evening which is when a lot of the girls arrive for work.El Ciego si correct that drinks are pricey but Zona Blue still wins highest price drinks follwed by Idem and next is Del Rey.I would as a rule rate talent better for looks at Idem and have never had a problem with upstairs rooms.Seems like some have a shower and outhers don't but not sure as it has been a while.Communal showers never ahve bothered me as much as I go to Oasis am used to that. It is more of an evening place with MP type set up and Roberto will always clue you in on the talent to meet your desires.rbc100

Regardless, I always stop into Idem on the way to the clubs. Your right on all accounts, alot of cute chicas, and expensive beer. Its not so much that I cant afford to pay it, but Ive definitly seen cheaper places.

The scene down in SJ, when it comes to MP's, IDEM, even the BM, change more often then Paco changes his panty's. Success on one trip does not necessarily mean a honey hole. I've been to both ZB and IDEM during the best of times and the worst. :shock: You need to make your rounds on every trip to find out who has the primo selection of the month sometimes the week depending on turnover. :wink:

I liked Idem. I went there with my friend Al who lives in SJO around 6pm I believe it was...place was empty so we walked down to Tin Jo and had a really nice meal and came back around 7:30. Place was packed with chicas then

I have been to Idem twice.

The first time was around 1pm and Roberto said they did not open till 3pm and pointed out Eros accross the street. I would not recommend Eros, But I heard my first oh! Popi.

The secound time was with two other guys. One was a CRT guy from a SL party and the other a Panimainian. They went after girls about 1/2 hour apart. And I had not seen anything. Then Don Gordo's favorite Karla walked in wearing a red dress. I moved like a valture after a fresh peice of meat. I did not know then she was DG's favorite. But today I do know why.

My next trip I am going to try out Idem. I saw it several times but never stopped. The outside looked a little less than respectable. Then again I'm a little less than respectable so why worry.
