Today I did the bang bang walk solo there were a lot of cops at Idem & Eros i did not stick around to find out what was going on but it cant be good.
747 was open but nothing there cha cha cha had some pluckable ones.

Pirates Club too

I swung by and there was a police truck with about 6 or 7 oficers they had everyone out in the front i guess checking papers!! DOes anyone know more about the Pirate CLub?

Wow they really are stepping it up a notch. I got to see Nueva Fantasia at least the week before it was closed.

I don't know if they keep stepping up the pace and it gets worse may make my next trip back CO or Panama even. Went to CR last because the airfare was so good.

Well, AM Costa Rica had a big article today, again Not one single solitary place was closed for Illegal activity... All closed for License issues, dispensing liquor with no license, municipal code violations... Etc..

Only the Pirate club web site http://www.pirateclubcr.com/ would make me scratch my head.. Did they really say these things.

Bottom line if your in the biz down there, get your stuff in order... I'm not a big MP fan, so this does not really effect me aside from ZB, and I can only imagine SL being a real gold mine now.... but it has to increase biz for THE DR / KL...

Incorrect fire extinguishers as well as doorways and ramps do not meet handicap standards as stated by municipality even though they were reviewed previously and passed. Muy Tico.. NO illegal activity was found, no illegal workers were found. Again simply municipal code violations. He expects to open in less than 2 weeks.

Fire code/ Building code/ Handicap access?

If these owners and proprieters of MPs have outdated fire extinguishers, no handicap access, faulty fire exits, and other building code and fire code violations they should know better.

These are minor problems that should have been taken care of and maintained regularly.

If one life had been lost due to these minor infractions there would be a lot more problems going then we have now.

Shame on them.

These are not costs that would have hurt their bottom line in these businesses. They stand to lose far more money being harrassed and closed down!

If they municipality wanted to visit these other types of establishments I can only assume 90% of them as well would be closed for the same violations.

This is a big show that hopefully when the curtain closes we can get back to normal!

I agree to a certain extent, however I still find myself thinking how much traffic ie (gringos/ us dollars and credit card charges) can be traced to the MPs. Bullseye. I am close friends with several restaurant owners, souvenir shop owners, and a bakery owner.

These businesses do not generate nearly the traffic and high profile clients that the MP's do.

They dont have the numbers of bodies traversing entering and using their locations like the MP's do.

Over 12 MPs.

You can name them all probably without needing a reference.

Can you name the same number of sodas, restaurants, clubs, hotels that have the same distinction?

The second most profitable gross income to the country is tourism.

Prostitution contributes to that greatly. I dont think in anyway that the government is performing a a shake down.

I think they want the high profile MPs and other sex industry related businesses to fall in line.

Get their shit together so to speak.
