My favourites:

Sanctum - caves adventurers get stuck after a flood - scary at times
Oceans 11 - casino robbery - not scary, but you feel suspense
Napoleon Dynamite - nerdy kid - Friggin hilarious ;p
Superbad - nerdy graduates trying to party - also , really really funny
Anchorman The Legend of Ron Burgundy - anchorman screws up - funny
Year one - village screwups get kicked out - funnyish
Grown Ups - adults living memories , kids really different - really funny.

Um, yeah, that's all the ones I can think right now... anything with that cera kid in it, jack black, or Adam Sandler is gonna be funny. As you can tell, I'm mostly into comedies. OH! School of Rock, haha.

Them. If you've seen The Strangers, and liked it, you'll like this. It's on Netflix if you have it. It's like French I think so it's subtitled but this couple is tortured by someone that's pretty surprising in the end, and it's a true story.

If you want comedy, try Best in Show. It makes fun of the crazy people who are too obsessed with their dogs.

Or try I Love You Phillip Morris. Jim Carrey as a gay ex-cop con man.
