I wanna introduce my only guinea pig to a new one but she wont let me.?

My guinea pig that I have now ( Amber)
is about 7 months old and shes small and I used to have another guinea pig living with amber but she died. So we decided to get her a friend and we did, but when I put the new guinea pig in the cage (and this guinea pig is like double ambers size)
Amber started chattering at her and they got in a huge fight until they both started bleeding! and it continued for ages.So we gave back the new guinea pig
I want to get amber a new friend because she was really sad when our other guinea pig died.
I dunno what to do please help!
but keep in mind that amber is extremly fiesty and acts like a princess and shes very very stubborn.
Is amber just that kind of guinea pig that likes all the attention to her or is that normal?

is best to introduce your remaining older guinea pig to a baby guinea pig as most guinea pigs will make friends with a baby and won't harm it whereas older guinea pigs will most likly fight hense what you have already experienced

When a guinea pig has been with another guinea pig since birth then they normally like the company and is a good idea to buy two at the time. However if you buy a guinea pig then later on decide to put another guinea pig in with it most of the time the guinea pig will not like this and some times the guinea pig will attack the new one.

I brought two guinea pigs at the same time who were brothers and had been with each other since birth and they were fine together, however when one of them died after only a year we thought best to get a new one but were advised by the vet not to as the current guinea pig would most likely attack the new one. Its mainly down to wanting to be dominance i think, so your guinea pig is probly better of being alone and getting alot of attention and cuddles off you .
