I have two female guinea pigs Molly and Elle,
The first time i introduced them i put molly and my new guinea pig together molly just kind of ignored her then gently nipped at the new one after bout 2 minutes of being chased and sniffed, It kind of looked like the little one was playing and molly was annoyed
Then i tried putting Elle with the new guinea pig and Elle stayed like a rock and then ran away when the new guinea pig came near. I was worried that they weren't getting along, so after they were doing that for five minutes i took them apart and gave then an hour break.
Then i stuck all three in a big play pen with three huts and three toys.
Molly started to cuddle with The new guinea pig in one of the huts but elle was annoyed and kept pushing everyone around. so after 5 minutes i gave them all a break.
Now i am confused because Molly is the dominant one and she was just like protecting my new guinea pig from elle.
So now about 2 hours later i took molly and the new guinea pig together once again and they cuddled in one of the huts for 10 minutes.
Then i did the same for elle and i had like towels and two pens set up in case they fought i could quickly separate them.
But Elle goes over sniffs her and cuddles with her in the same hut For 15 about minutes.
I am wondering if they are ready to go together.
And why Molly just lets elle push her around (and molly is still the dominant one)
And why Elle all of a sudden likes the new guinea pig?
