I introduced a young guinea pig about 2-3 months old to a 6-8 month old guinea pig...I bought the 1st a week ago and it is still scared of me and its surroundings and i bought the other one today from the same petshop and i decided to introduce them right away because they are both related...but when i introduced them in a place where both have never been...the old one just started licking the young one....while the other one just stood still and vibrated like a cellphone....the older one basically licked everything especiaally the butt of the young one...but now that i placed them on the same cage they just went their separate way. any ideas what is going on?........................

I believe that the older one is taking the position of the carer and looking out for the younger one. The licking is the older one cleaning the younger one and gpigs don't like their fur being messed up thats why the younger one "vibrated like a cellphone".. It will take a while for your gpigs to get used to you so be patient
