Hi, we have 2 rats and one is a male and the other a female, both are spayed and we are wanting to introduce each other in the quickest way without injuries coming about

For the past few days, we have benn looking around the internet about how you should do it. They said that we should let them explore each other's cages, and then wash everything so that there is no smells that contaminate it.

please can you give a detailed explanation should be done.
