What are some good tips for getting our cat use to the new baby?
A little info on my kitty:
He was a rescue and has been through a lot in his life. He was found by one of our vet techs in an alley behind her house. After his bad flea and parsite problem was fixed and he was deemed healthy he was put up for adoption. I aquired him because during the adoption process at my work it was discovered that he had a hard time adjusting to a house with pets. I had no pets and the vets office where I work is very picky. He's about a year now, but is afraid of children. I think during his time on the street he was toutred. He will not attack a child, as I have friends with young kids and when they come around he hides. He seems to know I'm pregnant as he is very cuddly with my stomach and the baby has kicked him when he is sleeping next to me on the couch. I just want to keep the stress as low as possible for him when I bring my son home for the first time.
I've read different suggestions online but I would like personal experence.
