I live kinda far out in the country and my dog hasen't really has chance to be around other dogs but whenever we have run into other dogs, she tends to bark & pull me but if the dog is far away or across the yard she dosen't care. next month I am going on a road trip to my aunts and I have to bring my dog & she has 2 dogs & I'm not sure how to introduce them or what I should and should not do, any help?
Before your dog enters your aunts house ALL 3 dogs need to go out on a walk together. Have them all walk side by side. This will create a "pack mentality". They will try and sniff each other I'm sure and that is allowed but only allow them to sniff each other's butts and backs. NEVER the face, neck, or stomach. Those are all the most tender and vulnerable parts of a dog. Make sure the walk is at YOU and your AUNTS pace. Do not let them lead the walk! Good luck!!
