How to introduce myself to people the first time I go to a church?

Have been to a few churches. I read some passages sometimes and feel close to the lord when i listen to christen music. But other than that i have no other connections and not ready to give up the many other non christian thoughts or music. Which makes it VERY difficult to meet and stay involved with the people that i have met in other churches. I just moved to a new town and know which church i would like to go to. But How do i Introduce myself, learn and give myself to the lord , without loosing who I am now ,If I am not ready to give myself completely. How would I go about talking to people or the pastor ?

Just call the pastor and say that you are exploring Christ and want to know more about what that means. He will likely invite you to a sermon, but ask him if you can meet before the sermon, so he can introduce you to the church elders, and maybe chat with you a bit.
