How to introduce my nearly 2 year old cat, to a new boxer puppy?

My nearly 2 year old cat is scared of strangers and hides in my room, and also doesn't like men. She isn't an average big cat, she's quite small. She sometimes runs away from me and my family (Because we play with her) We had two boxer dogs before (before we got my cat Bella) and they are so adorable. We want another boxer dog, but we don't know how Bella will react. I would like her to be bossy (not too much) because she was here first and i would like her to feel confident that this is her home and she is staying here and will be in charge of her territory, Still being loved! How do you think she would react? And Please can you give me lots of tips of how to introduce her to the new puppy? Because i don't know this. I don't want to scare her by shoving a dog in front of her... Please help?

Try having your cat and the new pup meet each other with a fence(or some other boundary) between the two. That way, if they want to get violent with each other, they can't. The cat will likely tolerate the dog, but that's about it. Cats do only what they want to do. It's how their mind is programmed.
