How to introduce my dog to other animals and dogs...?

My Lab/Rotti (two year old female, 45 lbs) isn't very good with other dogs. We live on a acreage so she hasn't had a chance to meet very many. She sees other dogs as opposition.
We are going to move to a city sometime this summer so I really need to get her used to other dogs...I don`t want her to hurt any dogs or get hurt herself.
I have taken her to town a few times and she likes it a lot and she is fine with all the strange people but I have to keep her away from all the other dogs.
Any ideas on how to introduce dogs to her ( the question mark isn't working)

Dogs she has met:
lab- she tried to kill this one, she was also beating it even though it was bigger and a little bit older
(she isn't a bad fighter. The fight was my fault, I let the other dog come into her private pen, I know, it was stupid of me)

Rottweiler mastiff and small yappy dog.- she lived through it. She sniffed them a bit and they sniffed her but she was tense the whole time and had her hackles up.

Black dog- she was friend with it for a little while but then one day she was really aggressive toward it so that ended it.

two crosses- I wasn`t there to see it but she didn`t fight them.

puppy- she was fine with a puppy. It annoyed her to death by grabbing her ear and yanking it but she took it.


And also she kills every single small animal. I have always encouraged her to chase after rabbits so I don`t know how she will take to cats.
Why would I waste money on professionals
That is a big waste of money.

Actually she gets a lot more aggressive to dogs than to cats.

?Ayame?, you JUST asked a question about your beagle mix who has aggressive issues toward dogs and people and now your trying to answer my question, whats going on here?

I understand your concern about professionals. There are a lot of bad ones out there.
Take your time and try to find one who doesn't believe in punishing your dog for being a dog.

You need a professional who will help you with counter conditioning and desensitization. See more details in "sources" below

Please don’t listen to any advice that is just a repeat of television shows. TV is for entertainment and ratings – not education. So please do not listen to advice about alpha rolling, dominance, pack leader, showing who’s boss etc..

There is a reason why the screen on those TV shows flashes “Do not try this at homeâ€￾ – because the techniques are extremely unsafe.

Please absolutely no alpha rolling, leash yanking, hangings, no leash corrections (same as yanking, jerking). There are better ways to treat your best friend. Please no shock collars

all dogs need training, exercise, socialization, grooming and vet care
talk/take to a professional trainer to help
you encouraged her to chase small animals you will have to train otherwise now.
