How to introduce my 4yr old cat to my new PUPPY?

I'll be moving quite soon with my 4yr old cat (who's used to only being around 4 other cats)

as soon as i get to my new place I'll be the owner of a new Siberian Husky puppy (he'll most likely be 8 months old)

How can i make this transition easy on my cat?
I don't want him to be A.) lonely or B.) fighting with the puppy

And i am fearful the dog might grow up in a few years, get big, and possibly hurt my cat while playing! O_O

Well I have the same problem with my cat and lil puppy at first my cat hated the puppy and tried to attack it but I bet they will get a long but it depends on the cat cats are selfish when it comes to this stuff just make sure you spend lots of time with the cat and try to teach the dog at a young age to not attack the cat lol :3

Don't force the animals to interact. Just put them in the same room, making sure there are places that either one can retreat to if they feel insecure or threatened. Let them meet each other at their own pace. Keep them under close supervision. Do not pick either one up - this will not help. After a little while, remove one of them and keep them in separate areas of the house. Only allow them to be in the same area while you are there to watch them. Eventually, they should get along and you will be able to leave them alone

Start by keeping the cat in one room with the door closed, let the puppy smell the cat for a while. Then put the puppy in the room and let the cat go out and sniff the puppy smells. Do this for a few days and let them smell each other for a while before introducing them face to face. The dog won't care at all but the cat is gunna be pissed for a while. Also try to keep the puppy from having free roam of the house for the first couple of weeks. Keep him/her in one area of the house so the cat can CHOOSE to come and see the dog and whats going on. It's important that the cat knows it's still in charge so don't change the way the cat has been living, make the dog learn how to live with the cat by restricting where it is allowed to go for a while and letting the cat choose when and how it wants to meet the dog.

ALSO - Its more likely that the dog will hurt the cat when he's young than when he gets older and used to the cat. and more than likely that the cat will beat the dog up, not the other way around.
