how to introduce a kitten to 2 dogs ?

i have two staffies 2 & 1. they're nice dogs but reaaaalllly hypo when it comes to meeting new people & animals, or just seeing them after even 5 minutes really O_O more worried about the 2 year old cause she doesnt like cats, but shes only seen them run in our yard & barks at anyone that goes into the yard really, so im hoping she will act different when the kitten is with me. but how do we introduce them ?
i know my dogs wouldnt hurt it on purpose, im going to take care of it, i wont let it get hurt. if i thought my dogs would attack it i wouldnt get one, im saving an animal from the shelter, not killing it..
im just worried about the hyperness..

well this is quite good that you dog protects its territory from other cats but, heres the thing, introducing any animal to a dog takes time, one- hold the kitten kneeling down to the dogs so they can sniff, depending on what they do, move to step 2 if not then never leave the kitten unattended. step 2 place the kitten on the floor so the dogs can sniff her,him over to accustom to the smell, they will probably want to play, so pawing or knocking the kitten over is common, step 3 is knowing where the kitten will sleep, you shouldn´t really let the kitten sleep with or near the dogs because when your asleep your unaware of what can happen, so for the next few days, keep it in your bedroom, then as the days go on and the kitten gets older it will learn to be in the prsence of the dogs and things should go smoothly, 8i did this with my 2 cats to my dog) im so glad i could help, good luck with this and let me know how it goes xx ellie

You need to hold the kitten and let the dogs smell it first. The let the cat go on the floor and let your dogs look at it, smell it, follow it or whatever they need to do to get there curiosity out of the way. However I suggest introducing the kitten to the dogs one at a time. And maybe keeping the dog on a leesh at first, just so you have complete control.
