How to introduce a ferret and kitten?

I am getting a new kitten. I currently have two dogs that have been introduced to the ferret, but they are both afraid of him so he plays alone. I would like to introduce the kitten for two reasons. One: so the cat doesn't think my ferret is some play toy or something to eat when it's older. And two: so my ferret will have someone to play with. My ferret is deaf so I am afraid if they are playing and the kitten is in pain my ferret won't let go because he can't hear screams. Of course I will be supervising each time they are together , but is it possible my ferret can hurt the kitten or the other way around, my ferret can be pretty rough when he's hyper. Anyway I just want to know how I should introduce, what I should expect, and how will I know when they should be separated.
