Near Adelitas there are nothing but clubs ! Just make sure you get to Adelitas, and go as per Roaddogs advise, the Taxi driver is your first hurdle ! Dont listen to them saying take you to "purpoool rain" (purple rain)

I have alternated between parking in the hotel and driving across the border. The last 7 to 8 times I have driven. Once accross the border I go directly to the Lava and park until I get ready to go back across the border.
I then it the Alley and .................go from there.

On my way back I leave between 5:00 and 6:00 AM (with any large amounts of money in my shoe) Generally at this time I don't have any trouble with the police (At leaste lately.....Let me find some wood to knock on) I make sure that I stop at all stop signs!!!!!!!! California stops will get you in trouble. I hit the border and role home.

These are my suggestions, things I do on my trips.

1. Park on US side at the motel parking ($4 wkdays/$9 wkends for 8hrs.) next to Jack in the Box, near the end of Trolly track. This saves you the long walk across the bridge when coming back, since it is close to the customs exit. After a long night of drinking/f***ing/whatever you'll be doing in TJ, it's nice to have a short walk back to the car.

2. Definitely bring a passport/visa. I've been there recently and saw people get hassled for not having the proper re-entry doc. They were not let through, but were sent to a second desk. Not sure what happens there, but could be a major inconvenience/delay.

3. I bring just what I need, enough money for activities, passport, and driver's license, all kept in front pockets, just in case.

4. After parking, walk across the pedestrian bridge, cross, and take taxi ($5) to Adelita's, as mentioned by others.

5. Hit Adelitas, Chicago, and Hong Kong or others within the area. Avoid walking in dark or not well lit areas where there's not much people around, as this will make you vulnerable to TJ cops, who are notorious for stopping people and extorting money, or other unwanted characters.

6. When taking a cab back to US border, make sure get dropped off at the Sentry and not the Yellow Taxi parking. This saves having to walk across the ped bridge on the Mexico side to get to customs.

Always ask to go to adelita .. its always open. if the taxi drive r trys to sway you to another bar, just tell him you have friends waiting for you. Once you are there all of the bars are all around you. you can't miss them. walk around the block and the girls will be out on the street for 1/2 the price of Adelita. A taxi ride should be $5 from the border to Adelita's ..... I give a $1 tip myself. Have fun

The prostitution bars are all over in TJ, but in the Zona Norte or Coahuila as the locals call it, there is a nice concentration of places in a three block square. Most are either located on Coahuila or the alley between Coahuila and Articulo 123.

I am not sure about asking to be dropped off at Chicago Club. If you are going any before 10pm, I would suggest getting dropped off at Adelitas. If the taxi driver tells you it is closed, tell him you want to go anyway. If you sin, there is a Church next door.

Don't recommend you drive over the border.
Park on the US side.
walk over.
Take a taxi to Club Chicago (don't pay over $5 no fucking tip) (don't let the taxi driver talk you into going any place else)
Girls start arriving at 8 pm
Get viagra, fuck your brains out
Don't drink to much
have paper to get back int te US
(Passport, Drivers license, maybe birth certificate) other you have been more recently could give he finer points on re-entry
Keep enough money in your car to pay your way out of parking if you get rolled while in TJ

I am going to tj in a few weeks and dont know where to start - its a bit over whelming so I am kindly asking for some help

do i drive in or walk across the border ? If i walk across is there a place to park in san diego and ten walk over ?


Once over where do i grab a cab ?

where is the zona ? Is it called the zona

are akk the bars in one area or is it spread out ?
