How should I introduce the cats?

I have always wanted for my male cat to have a friend. He is about six months old and my friend has a cat that is two years old. We thought we should have them meet but her cat is an indoor/outdoor so she can be aggressive to others cats. My mom wont get me another cat so I hope we can make them friends. My cat has meet one other cat before but that cat just ran from him. Any ideas to make them friends without teeth and claws coming out?

If they're not going to be living together they'd be better off not meeting.

It takes a lot of time for cats to adjust to each other when they live together, if they're just having play dates it can take So much longer.

No matter how you introduce them there will be hissing and growling (at least). It's easiest if they can get used to the sent of the other first, then introduce them. Do Not do this outside, at least one of them will get scared and run off.
