How should I introduce my 2 cats to the new one?

Recently, I agreed to take care of one of my parents' cats for awhile, and brought him home last night. He is ~3 years-old and very lovable. I have two cats of my own; a 2 year-old female and 1 year-old male, both of which are very independent. All three are aware of each other, as I let my cats sniff around the new one's carrier when he first came into the house. I have the new one quarantined in my bedroom as his safe room because he is used to sleeping with my parents every night and they made me promise I'd have him sleep with me.

I have taken the new cat with me to the living room twice and let my cats into my bedroom once to allow supervised visits without letting them get close to each other. There was hissing and some low growling, (mostly from my male cat), which I expected, but the new cat seems to be pretty okay with my two cats. All three cats are fixed, but the new cat is front declawed while my 2 cats have all of their claws, which makes me very nervous about letting them get near each other until they are more comfortable.

Any advice on what I should/shouldn't do in order for all three cats to be a big happy family in the future? I find myself being torn between what cats to be around because I don't want any feeling neglected. I have tried rubbing a towel on the new cat and giving it to my cats, and I have left the new cat's carrier in the hallway for them to smell. Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated!

You're doing everything the right way that I can tell from. They're going to be a little territorial at first and do all that growling and hissing just to let the other cat know where it's place is in the home. Just some time is needed for them to get used to each other. Also the fact that your cats are still pretty young is good too since they're not too much set in their ways yet lol. My recent little kitten I had to keep in the bathroom since he was only 6 weeks old when I found him but I would just take him out and let my cats sniff him/sniff noses every day for about a week until I let the kitten run the house. They still hiss and growl and bat at each other for another week or so but now he's accepted as one of the group.

You should introduce a step at a time by letting the new one with the one's you had during meal time that way the cats can mingle around and cause less stress with the old one's. And introduce it everyday until it mixed then you don't have to worry about. But mean time, keep the new one in your room, until they be friends.

Just keep doing what you are doing. There will be some fighting which is normal. If the fights get bad spray them with water or toss a cat toy towards them to get their attention away from each other. They will eventually get along or just ignore each other.

Don't worry about about the two with all their claws. I have 3 cats and a puppy. Two of my cats have all their claws and they don't use them on each other. My male cat that has all his claws only tends to use he front claws sometimes when playing with my puppy and he uses them as just a warning to tell my puppy he wants a break.
