I am an officer in a HUGE school volunteer group that focuses a lot on making a family dynamic. This means I have to get to know everyone. I'm a very introverted person because I am overweight. I'm working on my weight but I won't be "skinny" before I graduate, just chubby. I need to approach someone and introduce myself and ask their name without it seeming too weird. What should I do?

I would also love any advice on being a more open person or tips on memorizing names.

You are who you are so be who you be. The best way to be more open is not to think about it. Its hard at first and take practice. But it works. Just find comfort in who you are not in what others think you are. And with names I dunno how to help ya there haha.
