How do you get paraffin wax out of towels?

I am trying the new hive spray paraffin system and love it so far except for the over spray, I am laying my facial towels under hands and feet to catch over spray before wraping them up, it there a trick to getting the overspray out of my towels or will I need to lay down plastic instead?

I would lay down plastic. Wax gets into the threads of the towels and are going to be a pain to get out.

Sorry......Hopefully someone else will know a nifty trick for getting the wax out.

You can lay down plastic or paper, I wouldn't recommend using towels.

Pick off as much of the solid paraffin as you can, then put the towel between sheets of paper and iron it, it may take a few goes, and it's unlikely it will get all of it out, but it will improve it.

I'm glad to hear about the Hive spray paraffin overspay - I've always thought it would be a problem, but no-one has provided that feedback before. I think I'll stick to dip/bags/gloves/brushes for paraffin.

You can get paraffin wax out of your towels by placing a pad of paper towels below your stain and one paper towel on top. Using your iron on a low setting, iron the wax until it melts into one or the other paper towel. For large wax areas you may have to replace the paper towels a few times.

if there is a lot of wax in the towel, i wouldn't recommend washing the towel at home. the wax could cause clogs.

Thanks for all of the input, the cool iron worked well, I can still tell after washing where the wax was on the towels, the texture is a little different. I am hoping after washing a few more times and not using them to catch overspray that the original texture of the towels will be restored, big lesson learned here, thanks again to all who responded!
