When describing physical traits, all you need are several sentences summerizing the general look of your character, and let the audience fill in the rest. For example, when J.K Rowling (Harry Potter author) only said that he was a thin boy with scraggly black hair, green eyes, round spectacles and a lightning shaped scar on his forehead.
To transition, begin your character with an action -- > Cliff used his big and clumsy hands as gently as he could to wrestle the lambs away from the ewes. His sea grey eyes canvassed over the flock, thick eyebrows furrowed as he tried to figure out how long it was going to take today to sheer every sheep.
