How do I introduce my other cat to new kittens? ?

I have two cats. One just had kittens, and I'm not how to introduce the second one to them, or when I should do it. The two cats kind of get along, but still bat at each other some, and I'm afraid that the mother is going to be way over protective. I've been keeping the second one (not the mother) locked away in my room, but she's getting pretty impatient with that. Any tips?

By the way, I rescued the mother when she was 4 weeks pregnant, and she will be spayed as soon as possible. Both of my cats are strictly indoor cats and well taken care of. If anyone posts anything hateful or questioning my pet owning abilities, I WILL report you and encourage others to do the same. It's needless and incredibly ignorant.

Well, i would wait till the kittens become more adventurous. But at first take the mother cat away from the kittens then introuduce the other one, it will most likey not like the kittens at first but the more you introfuce them the less of a problrm it will be.

I saw a video on petfinder.com I think it was about intoducing cats. It said to get a clothor towel and rub their sent on it so they get used to it while they are in spreate rooms and let the other cats use the bed. I don't rember if the website said this or not but when we intoduced our cats this is what we did. When they get used to it try to test them together slowly holding them then letting the go free. If they fight use a broom to seperate them by putting it in between them and a spay bottle and yelling if they need some dicipline. I would also look up websites for sugestions.
