How do I introduce my kitten to my dog?

I'm getting a kitten today, and I did some research on this but I want to get tips from real live people.

My kitten is about 2 months old.
My dog is six years old.
We have a guinea pig also but I'm not too worried about the kitten and the guinea pig.

My dog was around cats and dogs before. she does fine for the most part. surprisingly she usually reacts better to young cats then young dogs (my dog hates puppies but is fine with older dogs) but its a little different since this kitten is actually gonna be living with us. But overall my dog is a pretty mellow dog, I know she won't eat the cat food or anything cause its been sitting there all ready for our cat and she just sniffed it here and there and walked away.

How do I introduce the kitten and dog because obviously i'm not gonna leave them alone in the same room right away but after like a couple months i do want them to be at peace with eachother.

also tip on litter training would be nice.
