How do I introduce 2 guinea pigs to my dog?

I'm going to be getting two guinea pigs soon, and i have a dog. He is about 8 years old and his breed is a papillon cross rat terrier. He is a very mellow dog, not energetic or crazy-like. He's very calm and he already gets along fine with my 4 chickens.

A couple of questions.

Should i introduce my dog to them as soon as I bring them home? or should I wait a week before i let them meet. (to let the pigs get used to their home)

How should i go about introducing them?
Any additional tips would be helpful too thank you
