how do I go about introducing pups to their father?

Right before I start the litter was an accident and yes the mother has now been spayed and I have looked into this but there doesn't seem to be much specific to my situation.
So, basically my dog had pups and they are 4 weeks old. they are all walking and talking and I have started weaning them.
the father has met them a few times and he's great with them the problem is that every time the mother is around I can't let the father near them because the mother gets very aggressive towards him.
neither have ever shown any aggression towards the pups so that's a good thing but eventually they are going to have to get along.
so I'm wondering what's the safest way to get the mother to accept the father and realize that he will not harm the pups?

For the IDIOT who said "Oh and the vet spayed a nursing dam did he ??? Right !!!" Actually no he didn't! she was spayed during her C-section! when she wasn't nursing! DICK-HEAD!! if you don't now then don't speak nob-jockey!!

Why? The father has no reason to be around the pups. Dogs dont raise "families" the same way people do. He doesnt know those are his pups, the pups dont know he is their dad. Dogs just dont have that concept of "family" that humans have.

If you really insist on introducing him to the pups, wait until they are 8-12 weeks old. They will be completely weaned and mom will be less interested in the pups.

You don't need to - this isn't happy families. She only sees him as an intruding and potentially threatening male. On the other hand, he won't see these puppies as 'his' just as curious little animals in his home.

Don't risk any introductions when it's not needed. The puppies can go off to their new homes without being traumatised if they don't know their dad LOL.

Seriously, if your male is exercising off your property, or seeing other dogs, the risk of him bringing infection to unprotected puppies is very real. Keep him, and any other household pets completely away from mum and her litter. Trying to do this is only stressing her out unnecessarily in any case.

The relationship, as far as producing puppies, ended when he'd finished mating with her!!!
