How can I introduce my new chihuahua to a very, very territorial cat?

I'm getting a chihuahua puppy in a few weeks and I'm worried that my cat is going to either injure, or kill it. My cat doesn't scratch or harm humans in any way unless she feels threatened, (rarely), but when it sees a dog or another cat, she gets tense and will hiss at it, if not, attack it until it runs away and hides in the other side of the house.

hey, u can try this, that's was a friend who taught me, he have like 20 cats, and always get more. he has some veery nervous and territorials cats.

First of all, you bring the dog, hide, to your room or another room in the house. the cat must NOT see him. For a day or two, u let the dog there, LOCKED. the cat will sense his smell, then he will be angry, but thats ok. passed 1 day or two, you open the door when u cat is there smelling, and let the cat see the dog... then the cat will think hes NOT a intruder, just a inquilin.

Hey, thats work between cats. Now, i really don't know if with dog that will be it. but i hope u can do that!
