As long as you and your partner are happy that's all that matters, your parents may not like it at first but they may come around. As for the wedding, i don't think that's a good idea if he is married. Why not invite him as a plus one and say that you didn't want him to be alone and later if you are open about your relationship people will see that you were friends first

It wont make a difference, they would be accepting ( HIGHLY LIKELY) I am all for older men.. not my grandfathers age though so I can't really relate. If I was you I would get it over and done with as soon as you can.. give them time to get used to it. I would tell them before you bring him over though, incase he has a heart attack
