How can I introduce a new food product in a supermarket?

I have recently had a really good idea and have been able to make a dish that can be sold in the supermarket. This product is not found in the supermarkets and is new. I believe that it can have a high potential in the market. However, I am very confused as to how I can do the manufacturing and packaging and how can I show this product to the supermarkets. please help. I'm very new to this and would really appreciate it if someone could help me out. thanks

Start small, think big. Go to a local grocer and try to get it on their shelves. Find a local food company and try to get it made with them as a partnership. Cross your T's and dot your I's too so you make sure you aren't giving away your idea.
