Help with makeup? I'm a newbie btw?

Kay, so I'm 19 years old, never used makeup in my life except for lip gloss, nail polish, stage makeup, and starting from about 2 months ago, mascara. I'm kinda new at the whole makeup concept since my parents are the type who don't like me using makeup (only child = extra protective).

So anyways, I'm stumped as to what I should use for what, and how to figure it all out (i.e which is the best type of product, that brand is cheap yet good, etc). I've got semi-sensitive skin, and I'm looking for concealer (acne/spots that look like moles, but i don't think they are) and foundation (just because I heard it's necessary to have a foundation if you're going to get a concealer, but if that isn't true please do tell me!)

for you I recommend going to a beauty store or department store that sales make up and ask the ladies that help you, ask her for some must have products and if you dont like or think they are xpensive you kinda have an idea of what you need and go and buy by yourself but I do recommend having somebody helping you pick your foundation tone because is really hard at the beginning even if you have experience good luck

Well since you're new to makeup I wouldn't go out and spring for anything expensive yet. Stick to the drug store for now. First what is your skin tone? You have to decide whether a) what your main skin tone, is either very pale, fair, medium, olive, tawny brown, or dark. b) decide what your base tone is as everyone is either a base brown, red, or olive tone below their main skin color. for a beginner I wold start with a liquid foundation.

Always use a moisturizer as a primer/base as makeup should never touch your bare skin. Make sure the moisturizer is appropriate for your age/skin type. Get a concealer that is a bit lighter than your skin for under your eyes and for any dark spots that may show through foundation. Use a light pressed powder as an oil absorber/finisher. Try a single shade eye shadow kit that highlights you eye color and stick to basic black liner and mascara until you feel more adventurous.

and if you get your makeup from target its good, just try not to get a cheap foundation cause its going all over your face and if its cheap ou might get a break out! but you could get a little cheaper with other stuff

i went through the same thing as you..and then i found YouTube. go on it and search make up tutorials. some of the best gurus i love are...dulcecandy,michele1218,albamayo,baylovespow, makeupbytiffanyd,...these are just a few but u will find a guru that fits your makeup style..hope it helps. you will fall in love with makeup on youtube...they also have reviews on diff inexpensive makeup..go now

Buy eye make up from here, super cheap and works great., http://www.eyeslipsface.com/ And then, Clinique foundation & cover up is the very best kind, its a liiiittle pricy, but not as bad as kat von d tattoo & face concealer, which is just as good. It's not necessary to get cover up with foundation if you dont have much to cover, but it's definitely reccomended. Watch some youtube tutorials too, i've been doing my make up for 5 years, but it still helps.
