HELP!! How can i Introduces my character?

I am writing a story for history class, but i don't know how to write his background story/ his past. Can you guys help me?

Anna was scared, because Kevin was like a father to her, ever since she moved in with her sister. Anna love her sister very mush, when she got marry Anna was in her wedding, but then Kevin mother and father died. Kevin and Victoria had to go to the new world (Massachusetts) to see if his sister was ok. Anna was 6 years old; she did not want her sister to go. So she asks Kevin if she could can with them, Kevin said yes but Anna needed to ask her father. Anna father didn’t want her and Victoria to because; he said that Kevin family is Puritans. That why Kevin had family in the new world. They didn’t want to follow the Church of England. But Kevin was not puritans and he didn’t follow the Church of England, Kevin believes in nothing. No one known why my father let him marry Victoria, Anna mom said it was a business duel, something about Kevin family

That all i have, my story is about the Salem witch trials, but i don't know what to write i feel like i am doing everything wrong. Tell ME if this is good or not. Tell me a new background story, if you want.

Here JUST SOME INFO ABOUT THE CHARACTER:
Kevin is a lawyer, his sister name is Lizzie, his wife is victoria, step-in-law is Anna. Kevin is not a puritan and he didn’t follow the Church of England, Kevin believes in nothing. But because he lives in Salem he is puritan, just to live with his live sister, Lizzie.
Victoria and Anna follow the Church of England, but like kevin they act puritan. there dad is a merchant who wanted to trade with america( he maked Victoria marry kevin)
