Hawaii Shut Down By City

Still waiting for somebody to post the announcement by the city (DA, Police, Health, or other) that they offically closed Hawaii Spa....I think you all are jumping to conclusions on this one.

In several cases they have used some Mickey Mouse violations to revoke the Certificate Of Occupancy. That does it. Stay out of the bldg. Even if they are able to get new CO, it takes quite some time to do so.

I have absolutely no knowlege of the HI story.

Its not only sad for Hawaii Spa, but it will affect all the other spa's as well. Because if the girls at the other spa's start getting spooked they may leave.

i don't visit amps as much as i should but was this also the case when the nba all star game came to town this year? (i honestly don't know). granted the super bowl gets much more hype from a media standpoint but its well known (to le and others) that the nba allstar game creates just as many issues (if not more) from a "hobby" standpoint as the super bowl.

Curiosity got the best of me, so I drove down to Market Center. Didn't bother to make my regular ATM stop because I suspected the worst and doubted I'd be having a session. To my disappointment, Hawaii was indeed closed but did see some cars there and Jade Spa was actually open. Decided to try to get the story to review back here. (I took a chance that they might get mad that I didn't plan to stay for a session..I've been down that awkward road before....it's not fun) Jade Spa IS open for business, and even though they had some customers there they didn't seem very busy for what I would expect on a Friday night. Mamasan was very friendly with me and I inquired about Hawaii. From what I gather, the "city shut them down" review that's circulating is partially accurate but not really the sensational story that it seems to be from reading this thread. It seems like this is not that big a deal like I feared it might be. She told me (in broken English) that Hawaii's Certificate of Occupancy had expired so they've closed until they can get it renewed. There wasn't any official shut-down, or raid, or big scene from what she said unless somebody witnessed one and can confirm otherwise. She seemed optimistic it would be renewed, but I'm not so optimistic about that happening myself unfortunately. My impression is that the city is probably not renewing CO's for this type of business, and they might be resorting to the tactic of just riding them out, and letting them expire, and then not renewing them......causing a peaceful closedown. I told her I was glad to see at least Jade was up and running, and passed on my wishes of good luck for the people of Hawaii. This may be the end of an era that had a great run and could be reaching it's final chapter. Bathhouses are not and may never be acceptable to the mainstream in this country. I still marvel that they've survived as long as they have. My hopes are for a quick resolution to this situation at Hawaii. I feel the girls will be fine whatever happens...they will probably end up migrating to another AMP in Dallas, another city or maybe another state with less political red-tape than we currently have..if any of those still exist. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the girls aren't already at Jade Spa, although I didn't recognize any that I spotted while I was standing there. I promised I would return tomorrow but not sure if my schedule will allow me to. Maybe some of you dawgs who were there tonight will give us the lowdown on who's at Jade and if there are any gems that need to be seen. I hope somebody does give us some more info. I'd like to know the whereabouts of Sugar, Paula, Candy, and energizer bunny herself, Sunny. I would hate to see those girls leave the area. Can you imagine if all the city's AMP beauties decided to stay in Dallas and go indy? That would be a riot....but I could see it happening! Holly outcall to my house. Yeah, right. I would never want her to leave.

Why is it that some people just can't stand it when others have a good time? Politicians and LE say they are just doing their job, but there are real crimes they could be fighting. Why is picking up some sleeze in a bar ok but having mutual adult consenting encounters in a clean environment a crime? Maybe we need to vote for people that support individual freedom and minding their own business instead of voting for the ones that can't get it up and take it out on the rest of us. My 2 cents.

That's exactly what I thought, too. So, then there actually is a Jade Spa up and running? Also, I was driving down Mockingbird tonight and it looks like June's Tan had taken their sign down. Any word on that? not that I ever went, except for a couple of times when I lost my head. But it does make me wonder.

One of the premier events in Dallas AMP history was the Grand Opening of Jade Spa. It even made the evening news.

My favorite session of all time (with Sessi) was in Jade Spa.

Hopefully Hawaii Spa will get this figured out soon. I seriously doubt it's related to the Super Bowl. But who knows...
