Has anyone seen this tool?

Its in massage magazine ad. I thought it looked really good to have..i checked out the web site.www.vcmassage.com and it's an "ionic therapy" supposed to generate deep heat..the web site shows a little video of it and I thought "wow, I have to get these" and then i saw it.......the...PRICE!!!!! they are like $379 dollars ! ouch! what do you all think?

oops..Shannon you are so right..I looked at the price and it was for "two" of them ...my mistake...did you watch the little video? it looked interesting..I have never used a "tool" either..has anyone?

I use a Knobble fairly often. Mostly when my thumbs are tired & sore.

The Knobble has a similar enough shape to give you an idea of how to use this type of tool and is only about $12 if you want to give it a try first.

It is kind of mushroom shaped and you can use the tip end or the bigger mushroom end for a broader surface.

I really like my Knobble, although it doesn't have the claims of this new tool.

I agree, I use a knobble as well. If you haven't used a tool before try one of those first before investing that kind of cash on something you haven't used before.

The knobble is great and it works well, and for the price you can't beat it.

are those "knobbles" that your talking about the wooden ones? Do you just use them as you would a thumb? thanks

I use the wooden one. I have seen one in plastic but you run the risk of having that seem of unfinished plastic that has a rough edge on it. The wooden ones are smooth and use can still use your oils with them.

Yes, use it just as you would your thumb. The one that I have has two "thumb" sides and then a larger "palm" side to it. Depending on how I hold it I can have a wide "thumb" or a narrow one.

Make sure that when you are "practicing" with one you have someone you trust to give you honest feed back on the table. Another MT or someone else you trust to be honest.

Once you get the hang of it you will be able to save your thumbs.

thank you swarren...I think I have a few wooden ones in my bag, that my husband picked up for me a long time ago but I didn't feel confidant to use them...I dont know how to use them? hmm
