happy self employed therapist?

What the whole think is about.?
Do you find S.employment fulfilling,what the advantage ?
Is it time consuming,too much bureaucratic ?
Please enlighten my path through this tough decision.
Any help appreciated.

I think an equilibrium between both worlds is the ideal situation for the first few years.

A few days/mornings a week in a clinic/salon and try book in some of your own appointments for days off/afternoons off.

You'll soon find out which you prefer and can then go that route

personally I wouldn't work for anyone else but myself ever again!

As my mentor once told me: "It's my mess and I don't mind clearing it up. Other people's mess don't interest me."

I pay accountants to handle the tax and accounts side: after all that is respecting their profession and training, and leaves me free to follow my profession and training.

And when it all pays off I have the satisfaction of knowing I did it all myself!

It took me several years to go fully self-employed, and even then, during quiet times, I did some temping work just to pay bills. Now (been in the business 30 years) I make a living, and between us (my husband is due to retire in 3 years) we are comfortably off.

I have worked for and with other people during my time as a therapist, always on a freelance basis - and have been responsible for my own accounts (well, the accountant is!) for many years.
