Yes, you are correct. More visitors would come if these cities were to become safer, that is true. But for those who choose to stay away from, say, D.C., for example, they are missing tremendous opportunities. Have you ever seen the Smithsonian? You could spend days and still not take in all that it has to offer. They even had an exhibit on prostitution. (This was many years ago.) I laughed and laughed and my compadres asked me what I thought was so funny. The exhibit was actually fairly well done. There was the usual "horrible exploitation" propaganda but they really were truthful in their depiction of how much money prostitutes (in the States) can make.

Groh52, do reconsider. There are many here who would be happy to hook up with you on your first trip and show you the ropes. You will see that it is nowhere near as dangerous as the media make it out to be. You walk across the border, get in a cab, go to one of the bars, go upstairs to one of the hotels with the chica or chicas of your choice, go back to the bar, get back in the cab, go back to the border. No problem! Or you might take advaneforum.xxxe of either one or more of the street girls or an escort service. Any way, you will be enjoying one of the better mongering experiences available in the world. Plus, my favorite aspect of TJ is that it is legal! A trip to downtown SD with one of SDPD's finest would be the end of my life as I know it!

I just made it back from Tijuana just right now it's just before 3:00AM in the morning, and once again I had a pretty good time, and I'm still alive.

HK was the busiest bar, lots of HOT chicas in Hong Kong. LC had a band and that bar was very busy, until the band left and it kinda died down. AB had plenty of lookers, but not as crowded as years past.

CC was dead as usual but still it had a pretty good selection of chicas. Surprisingly Bar Tropical was pretty dead. Probably because they did away with the 2 for 1 beer they have been serving since the recession started. I wonder what happened?

I had a couple of numbers I was going to take especially "Black Diamond" I was going to ask for a "GFE" chica, and see what I was going to get, but dammit I left those numbers at home, and just hung out at the bars. ( I need to upgrade my phone to get the internet)

I did talk to one SG about her customers, and she was pretty sad that mongers from the US have stopped coming in droves, but she says there still are a few gringos that come down. But she says she misses the chinos, blacks, and gringos that use to visit her. She said she was thinking about moving to the bars like AB, but thought she was too skinny to work there. I told her nonsense and that she could work there.

She said there are scared, and asked me what they are scared of? I told her they didn't the drug cartel members are going to kill them! She just laughed and shook her head, and said that's stupid.

Wow it's obvious a lot of new people who are posting in this thread don't go or have been to TJ in a long time.

In fact I'm thinking of going today, but if I don't make it back. I guess I was wrong and the drug cartel got me.

Of course I have been going to TJ for years, and always come back in one piece and usually without incident and I had lot of fun in the bars or on the streets with a young SG.

My wallet is usually lighter, but I usually spend less than $200 dollars. I use to take $300 dolllars and come back with change, but now I take $200 dollars and come back with change after a night of drinking, and having fun with at least two chicas.

The only problems I seem to have is sometimes I have heartburn from drinking and the ED medicine, and a few times I wake up with a headache in the morning.

Of course I understand if you haven't been to TJ and are getting all your information from scary newspaper articles. I'd be scared too.

This is just my experience... Tijuana used to be a great place to monger but the last 5 years have been going down hill and fast... yes it is true shit happenes everywhere ... but i feel a lot safer knowing the law is at least on my side on this side of the border... in tijuana you have to watch out for cops, robbers, druggies and a whole mess of other ... it's really not worth the headache... after gas food and a chick you end up spending roughly around $200 dollars... so in my opinion i rather take my 200 and go to a nice asian private home setup with a great looking great who gives you the best massage a nice clean shower, and a wonderful service all around.. without the headache and hassle of TJ... sorry guys i used to go down every weekend... but no more... as far as i'm conserened F--k TJ and there bullshit...

We really need to counmassageplanet.netalance your post with a more on-the-ground, at-the-scene point of view. What is happening in Mexico is a tragedy. There is no other word for it. But when you put it into perspective, it is no where near as bad as those who take your viewpoint make it out to be. Mexico is a country of some 85 million people. The Tijuana region has close to 3 million people residing in the area, each day going about their business of clothing themselves and their children, putting food on the table, and keeping a roof over their heads. Pronouncements such as yours are akin to saying that everyone should avoid cities such as Washington, D.C. because of the high murder rate. No one is 100% safe in any part of the world.

My request would be for you to come visit Tijuana and see for yourself. Do your research before coming. You will see that while there is certainly trouble for you to find should you go looking for it, a trip to TJ can be a rewarding and safe experience for mongers.

Where I grew up in a LA suburb I'm came from an gang infested area called
" Jardin" and I notice they have a similar name in TL " BARRIO JARDIN / GARDENS."

I wonder how accurate this list is? But there seems to certainly be a lot of gangs in Tijuana now:

Here's the list of gangs in T.J. TiJuas, that I've compiled so far. A lot of the TiJuana gangs have been started by Homies from Cali, especially from L.A. & S.D. Therefore they might carry the same name of a gang in your neck of the woods, but the majority of those local members do not share for the most part the same indoctrination or allegiance as in the O.G. hoods. You must keep in mind that it is a completely different world and way about doing things, the level of violence for the street gangs is still relatively still on "rumbles" and "1 on 1", 2 against 3" and so on, bats, bottles, chains, fileros, and whole lot of rocas y piedras (rocks & stones) are o.k., Guns are used for other type of business such as "setting up a store" but then you have to get a "MADRINA" (P.D. PROTECTION-FAIRY GODMOTHER) as well as your suppliers authorizing you from the "ESTABLISHMENT(S)-CARTELES"., Also there's other types street gang membership in the "COLONIAS" (NEIGHBORHOODS) other than just "CHOLOS", you may be active but not necessarily be sporting the traditional "GANG STYLE", the Judas/Juras down here are way different than say LAPD and play by a complete different set of rules and so do the vatos out here

Cars are jacked, businesses get robbed at gunpoint and there are home invasions in San Diego too. I feel more comfortable walking on Av Coahuila and in the bars there than I where I live in "America's Finest City". It is unfortunate the girl from Logan Heights was in the wrong place at the wrong time last week when she got hit while having dinner in the Otay Mesa area of TJ with her husband.



The only sensible thing he said. But that advice really needs to be everywhere, not just the mean streets of Tijuana. And not just because of the narcotraficantes. I do believe that those who do get in trouble are those who aren't paying attention to their surroundings, get too drunk or high to be paying attention or veer off the beaten path. Some people are so clueless and wonder why bad shit happens to them.



We're lucky on the west coast that that the Mexican media is covering the stories. It isn't the case in Nuevo Laredo where the press is too afraid to report on cartel violence and have admitted as much. The manager of my favorite bar in Nuevo Laredo Boystown was assassinated and it didn't make the paper (this is the third time this has happened... the GM of that place is not a long term career). This would be equivalent to the owner of Hong Kong getting waxed and not a peep from the TV and newspapers.

The American media -- the UT or really any other paper/TV -- do a terrible job at covering the stories and play up the border war on drugs we're-all-going-to-die angle. Sort of like we were all going to die from H1N1. Or your drinking water may be poisoned and all the other crap that passes for "news".

Two kidnappings and the theft of 300lbs of crystal meth seems to be the cause of the latest round of killing in the ongoing war between rival factions of the Tijuana Drug Cartel.

50 of the 52 killed, had been active members working either for Teo or the engineer and 2 were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

This latest battle between the cells of Teodoro Garcيa Simental “El Teo” on the one side and Fernando Sلnchez Arellano "the engineer" on the other, began when federal cops, along with one of the engineer's boys, "seized" quite a few pounds of crystal meth from one of Teo's people.

Teo then called the federal officers to nicely explain "who had they seized the drugs from" and told them he would much appreciate it if they would give him his shit back.
Federal officers (wisely) returned the crystal meth to Teo minus 300lbs apologysing and explaining "Ruedas" (working for "the engineer") had kept the missing 300lbs of meth for himself.

Until this incident, there had been a several month long truce where killings had been kept to a minimum and each cell respected each other's territory (Eastern TJ for Teo, Western TJ for the Engineer) but after Ruedas refused to give back the 300lbs of crystal meth, Teo got pissed, ordering the kidnapping of this girl related to "Ruedas" and all hell broke loose.

Teo and the Engineer where both kind enough to warn the local cops about the comming bloodbath, before the hounds became unleashed, cops received calls warning them to stay away from the streets because "it was going to get messy", the were told, "the beef wasn't with them", asking them not to get involved.

Boy, did it get messy.
The result was a wave of sudden executions all over town, men, women and even children cut to pieces by assault riffle fire, kidnappings, carjackings, bodies without the head, some with clear signs of torture, heads without a body and even a corpse hanging from a bridge.
The good news is that 50 of the 52 dead were drug dealing thugs who probably had it comming and only 2 where inocent bystanders caught in the crossfire.

"El Chapo" Guzman of the Sinaloa cartel is listed as one Forbes' richest dudes on the planet.

I don't take sides among the cartels. The ones that minimize killing civilians are the ones that I'll tolerate. Like you said, it is only the governments that haven't figured out the War on Drugs has already been lost. As the Mexican government weakens the Tijuana Cartel, it is in effect helping rival cartels. When one falls, another takes its place. Ad infinitum. It is a multibillion dollar business and the demand is too great to ever dissipate.

From my experience in Nuevo Laredo, it is best when there's a single cartel running things (or an arrangement like there is right now in the Nuevo Laredo sector where the Sinaloa cartel pays a tax to the Golfos to share the route... fighting each other is bad business... there's so much money to be made and having a united front against the Mexican military/US DHS patrols makes more sense). I give the cartels a pretty wide berth so if a bar is where a bunch of one cartel or another hangs out, I'll monger elsewhere.

The violence started after the last of the Arellano brothers was arrested while sailing off La Paz, down in Baja some 2 yrs ago.

After "Tigrillo" Arellano was arrested, leadership went to his nephew nicknamed "the engineer"

Teo, running his own cell within the cartel, didn' liked nor respected the new boss so he broke relationships, went on his own and pretty much declared war on the "engineer" side of the family to try to take control of Tijuana for himself.

Almost 2 yrs after it began, the war for control of TJ continues.

That pretty much sums up the current TJ situation.
