Do you think the death sentence should be re-introduced into the British

Yes I do. Why....1950s Britain, with the death penalty in place, saw an average of three murders a year. 21st century Britain, without the death penalty, see's an average of three a week. No matter what the pc ridden human rights bull sh*tters tell you, those are the FACTS. What about the human rights of all those that would not have died IF the death penalty was in place as a deterrent? hundreds of thousands of people suffer injury , violent robbery or death because monsters are allowed to walk free on our streets when they should be swinging on the end of a rope. You cannot reason with the unreasonable. When will civilised Intelligent people get it into their heads that criminals do not think, or reason in the way that they do. There is a little eight year old boy laying in an early grave. he used to live down my street when I lived in pemassageplanetorough. He is dead because a judge let a drunk driver off......A few weeks later that b@stard hit a child. Its time we saw a decent legal system in place. The one we have is a corrupt self serving private business. The criminal its valued customer, the victim is just a bloody nuisance, and the tax payer foots the bill for the whole bloody fiasco. I think the pope see's the whole thing as it should be.

No I don't, mistakes have been made in the past, totally innocent people have been hanged in the UK, whilst it really annoys me that it costs more per night to keep a prisoner in prison than in the Ritz hotel, once someones dead a posthumous pardon is little compensation.

No,i think the death sentence is horrific, and as the saying goes, two wrongs dont make a right. If a person murders someone the punishment shouldnt be for them to also be murdered, instead, the perosn should be made to suffer a very long or lifelonmg sentence in prison. I think the sentences people are forced to live in prison should be extended. Too often you hear of people committing horrific crimes and only having a very short stay in prison.

If you are willing to kill some1 for their crimes then you are just as bad as them. I think an actual life sentence would be a better punishment not one of those stupid 25 year life sentences and get released after 20 because you didnt try rape any1 while in prison!

Yes,it is far more cost effective to execute killers,serial rapists and paedophiles should also be put to death also,the cost of keeping these failed humans is harder to justify,why should we continue to waste money on these horrors.Give them a fair trial,execute them right away and burn their bodies,no mercy.

Ironically the last man in England to be executed was found to be innocent, that speaks volumes.

I used to agree until I looked into the costs of ending someones life legally - it's quite substantial. Most of the UKs problems could be sorted with larger fines for standard offenders and prison terms only for violent or potentially violet offenders, a lying banker doesn'tbelong in prison, he belongs under house arrest, with all/appropriate amount of his assests and money seized.

Personally I don't even think there should be a punishment system, but I accpet some people need to be removed from society sometimes. If some one is a danger to society they should be removed and rehabilitated. If they cannot be rehabilitated then they must stay separated from the rest of society. Punishment serves no purpose but retribution, and imo retribution is not a worthy cause, it doesnt serve any purpose other than making some people feel better, some times. Capitol punishment is the ultimate in punishment, but it does punish innocent people, like the children of a murderer who could lose a father, or a wrongly convicted murderer.

I believe that murderers, rapists and pedaphiles should all be given the death sentacne as they have taken/destroyed someone else's life. The tricky thing is that if someone get's sent to prison for something they did not do (as rarely as that happens) then they will be executed for nothing. I think from that prospectus it's quite tricky to give a definate answer but I would probably say yes it should be re introduced in Britian to put a stop to rape and murder.
