I don't know your experience in SEA mongering, but am sure you don't meddle with the middle to upper Thai society to make such a statement.
Which by the way, middle to upper class are the ones that rule, not hookers.
They might see hookers as a "funny" way of making money, but there is no society in the world that accepts prostitution per se.

By the way, let me inform you, that in Mexico, we accept and tolerate hookers.
Thing is I would never let my son bring a hooker into my home.

To generalize over this topic is worthless. It's obvious there are men and women in all facets of society with low self-esteem so it's really a moot point. Hell, I've dated some successful professional women in the past with low esteem problems. I don't think any conclusions can be drawn from any assumptions made about the working girls or their clients. It's about an individual's state of mind and attitude towards these things, which over a period of time, becomes blase anyways.

BUT, it is happening more often now than ever......I think it is because our cultures are intermingling and a lot of the american mexican women are raised in better schools, are more educated than they were in the past. I've been to AB bar when there was maybe 10 chicas in the whole place and about 200 drunk mexicans. I disagree with you, KT. Mexican-American chicas, for the most part, aren't looking for successful and good looking Mexican American men. They, like ALL chicas, are looking for successful and good looking men. Period.

People are drawn to people who attract them, and that has to do more with what it is that makes a person attractive. For the well adjusted people: sharp looking (to them, and that is different things to different people), confident, educated, sets high goals, interesting, etc.

To the people who aren't well adjusted, I think it has a lot to do with physical attraction and looking for someone who can take care of them. Since neither tends to be independent, they become dependent on each other, then addicted to booze or other drugs, jealousy, messing around, fighting, divorce, alimony, child support, no child support, single parent......just keep trying to swim upstream while the water swirls in the toilet bowl, knowwhutimean?

By the way, a SG named Sonya didn't seem to have any problems with self esteem. She's probably been in the biz for awhile, but friendly and fun-loving.
I'm sure she would rather be selling real estate or something else. These chicas never know who their next customer will be, kind, mean, clean, dirty, abusive......

I don't know I think the hot looking Mexican chica would go after the rich white gringo too. They say if everything is equal a women will usually stay within her race. However, money has a way of getting women to consider dating out of their race. For example a black girl just won't usually date just any white dude, but if the black dude has money a few income levels above her, she'll have no problem dating him and same thing goes for most women of races or cultures.

You'll often here on this site that chicas in Tijuana perfer white dudes, but what she is really telling you is she prefers white dudes with money, and if you don't have money don't waste her time.

I say some men, because I never want to say ' all men' to anything. However, I feel if a guy is a monger, more then likely something is missing in his life that turned him into a monger, at some point in their mongering life. after all sex isn't something that's suppose to be paid for, at least not up front.

Let me give you an example. Some dude on another site that I always accuse of race bating, and not just Mexicans, but all races, or cultures, it doesn't matter he has something to say about all of them. He claims he is over 6' feet, with blond hair, and blue eyes, fairly young, and has a 6 figure income. So right away, I say either the guy is bullshitting, or he has something seriously wrong with him, because normally guys like that have women throwing themselves at you.....as there would not be a need to pay for it.

I definitely agree with you that LOT OF GUYS TRIED THE HOOKERS, BUT ONLY MONGERS CONTINUE IT ON REGULAR BASIS. It then goes back to the topic that if YOU ARE ADDICTED, THEN YOU ARE A MONGER ! And it has not that much to do with Low or High self esteem. I agree a lot of mongers wouldnt find the same type of attractiv chica in civilan life.
