Do guys introduce just anyone to his dad?

This guy and I were dating briefly a year ago. We broke apart because a lot of things weren't right, but the feelings never faded. We recently started talking and meeting again. It has been almost a month, but I'm not ready to jump in bed yet...well, yes but no sex yet. So we're just talking, hanging out. I stayed over at his place a couple times. We just slept together, cuddle, holding hands. It's my choice, not his, of course.

I know the guy is very close to his dad. He mentioned something last year when we were together that made me believe his dad knew about me then. This week his dad is in town visiting him and I got to meet him. It was a very casual meeting. When he introduced us, he got my name right and started talking to me like no stranger. (I have Asian name which most people can never get it right the first or second try) Tonight we met again, and it was very informal. They came to my place for something he left here and I made tea.

I don't want to read too much into it. The thing is that his dad knows for sure I'm not one of his friends, but a girl he is seeing, but not his girlfriend. Just wonder if this is a normal practice for men to introduce random woman to his dad?

The thing about this man and me is still not clear. We do have strong feeling for each other, but kinda taking it slow at this moment. We are both in our early 30s, just a little FYI.
