I've dated Latinas in the past as well and was very well acepted by their families. I was interested in there cultural beliefs and willing to learn what was and was not ok. Unforunately, I will use the universal WE, we believe that everyone should learn "American" (English), WE are arrogant in this way, myself included from time to time as I will prove in my next statement. The fact is if you could cross the an imaginary line to who cares where and make 2x, 5x, 10x the money you are now, safer probably than you are now, you would be stupid not to. I don't fault the US for allowing illigal imigration. The fault should lay with the country that these people are leaving to come to America. I personaly did not see this movie/documentary but I believe this issue was a big focus... It was called "A Day Without Mexicans" or something similar I believe.

Most The Mexicans I know in the area wont even hire a White guy in the Trades, Allways tryin to keep the $$$ in the "family". They dont hardly ever buy American cars. Im thinkin there is MORE racism in the "brown pride" than from Whites to them.

You dont even need to be a Resident Alien to get a FHA Mortgage= only a "work permit" for 18 months and you are eligible for a Govrment backed Loan. Mexico wont even let you buy property if you pay CA$H !!! Dont worry the white wont rub off on ya...I dont think La Rasa will progress in the US until they drop the attittude towards the Whites ( and Blacks ) that exist in America. Race relations in Mexico is back ass= Mex. Newspapers often show Blacks in Sambo type cartoons.
Often peeps will try to label anyone who mentions these facts a Bigot,,,I think its a effort to silence the discussion. The "Screw the Gringo" mentality does not sell well in the US. The attitude is often 2 faced, acting very friendly your face, and tryin to put you down behind you back. Its a "Pity Party"; like other immigrant groups diddnt pay their dues here- learn some history,,,learn about America. Since many,many, Mexicans and folks from Central America dont believe they will stay in the US but will save $$$ and go back..which seldom happens. This is America; if you dont love it ( and the people) go home -period. Your only hurting your own chance of getting ahead Worse than HATE is not caring- and thats where we are here-PLEASE Evolve?

Wow where the hell did this hatred comes from. In my experience latinos are more likely to mix with other races than any other group. I am not latino, but a fair perceneforum.xxxe of the ladies I date and gfs have been latinos and there families have not "hated" on me, and yes a few have been first generation immigrants. They see me try to learn the language and culture, but with some honesty I would say that my education and ability to earn helps alot, maybe 50-60 percent...I don't know what the outcomes would have been if I wasn't from a good family and I have an education...you might be right about the ethnocentrism, but to be honest I think the only color that matters these days is the color green, the more potential and ability you have to bring it in, the more you get accepted because you prove that you are a good provider for their daughter. Have I been faced with challenges with the nuclear and extended family? yes, but after a month or two, and they get to know who I am and what I am doing, it gets easier..atleast that has been my experience.

If you manage to pull a Latina, and are White,,,if you try to get serious, you will find the pushback fro familia to be very difficult to overcome. Due to the huge importance the family has to the Chica's. Some ot the customs of Central American countries is very different from Mexico, so there are some unique twists...

It may look like you will "make it" work since you love each other very much. It only takes the resentment or hostility of 1 or 2 of the clan to keep you an outsider.They will form a human-chain cock-block. The only chance is to breed into the family.
Even if mom and pop like you, ( think of it more like a Tribe) the others involved can make your life miserable. It seems like some of the men in the family ( the ones with the fat wifes) will be interested in tryin to fuk your Chica in some queer way. Not too many venture into this deep in relations with other cultures. I like to think we are just now beginning to rear a generation that is truely 'color blind" and judge on acts. I like to think the Chica's value an alternative to the Macho techniques of the typical Latino mentality. But the truth of it is...the instincts are deeply held traditions that may have origins in the native people predating the Spanish. Fact is; this damages the Chicas "free will"and basic human rights.
The more pretty the Chica the more friction you will feel, and first generation immigrants are most exposed. I would describe this type of behavior as "kinder abuse" inflicted on the Chica by other relations, based purely on ethnic bias and prejuduce. This is called "Ethnocentrism" and is a very primative emotion based on a deep inferiority complex. IMHO ( I can sum it up in 1 sentence; A DEAD BEAT LATINO DAD IN L.A. IS BETTER THAT A SOLID WHITE BOY, pure ignorance and contempt for your fellow human beings.) believe me it gets old,,,
