Crystal Massage tools....

Has anyone used one of these? I saw one at a shop, very beautifully made (and only 18 bucks) but I wondered at it's usefulness beyond being a conversation starter. I held it in my hand and the weight felt good, but I realized that the point, this was a naturally terminated crystal, would be poking me right in my palm as I used it, and I wasn't sure how that might affect it's healing properties. Like if the therapist is experiencing physical discomfort, how can I help the client?  Also I wondered about the flow of energy, even with positive affirmations for healing, might stray negativies held within tissues find it's way to me via my palm.I also held it alongside my index finger for a while, yes they know me at this store lol, and I didn't feel like I could control it very well because of it's size.Maybe it just wasn't the right tool for me...Any other opinions or experiences?Jill

Yes I do use them.

(Of course I strongly believe in the healing energy of crystals!) For those that don't know me, besides being a LMT I also co-own an online crystal and mineral store.

Depending on the stone depends on what it is useful for. I use one with a fluorite cap, and it is wonderful for helping to melt trigger points!

I use them on very tight muscles to help them relax. I don't do a whole massage with them, but use them where really needed.

I sell them too, in all shapes and sizes. You have to find the one that fits right for you.

I use ones that are rounded at both ends, and have a tendency not to use the ones with the sharp termination, the energy flow is not right for how I would use it.

Other shapes of massage tools assist energy flow in a more general direction so that you could direct the flow towards the client.

Hi JennI thought you would know and would have worked with these Those are all really nice tools, but the one I saw was only polished on one end. I think it's merely an issue of finding one that fits though. My hands are a bit on the small side, and this was a big crystal! Thanks for the reply! Your store has awesome stuff! I used to hang out at the msgboard there, but I see it's been taken down.Jill
