Buenisimo... it is a beach resort.
It aint' TJ or one of the border cities up the Northern border of Mexico where you get bottom of the barrel girls. You said it your self, the girls did give a show at the pole.
The girls at the Mexican beach resorts quote high, not just to the gringo but to the Europeans and to the Mexicans as well.
And yes, 3000 pesos is the norm at this places, specially at Cancun...

By the way, it is not Playa, it is Playa del Carmen.
Playa by itself is beach in Spanish and all the places on the Mexican Riviera are Playa something.....

Well,
the action in both is meager. Do not come here for that. Cancun and other places are far far better. The best place to party in Playa is Blue Parrot and Santinos (orsomething like that)...........But as for monger action, it's really meager with some guys in front of the dicos offering girls in a very discrete way. I didn't partake as I didn't see a lot of hot chicks even in Bali club, the techno club full of young girls. Playa is a family place and there are several all inclusive resorts around there.

Though the Blue Parrot is fun and can be a good spot for non pro pickups of mostly tourist girls. Bali si mostly Mexican an you have to speak Spanish to get anywhere with those girls.

In Cozumel, I found the strip joint along the main drag outside and south of town before the Caletta harbor to be horrible. Just avoid this place. The ugliest girls work here from what I saw.

Platinos VIP, which is a little harder to find, has some nice sexy girls that are available. A really hot one offered to go to the hotel while giving me a lap dance, but when I asked how much, I choked and said the wrong thing "that's expensive no?" I found girls don't like to hear they're not worth a certain price. Better to say, I don't have that much money or I can'y afford that, though I'd love to, etc....But she was really hot and turned me on.......too bad she quoted $260.......

Anyway, there were quite a few sexy young things here. No cover to get in and no obligation to do anything. Just start talking to some girls, etc...a lap dance is 20 US bucks, which is quite steep, but the mileage is good with touching everywhere, with the girl practically nude.

I also found a better negotiating tactic to be, not to ask how much it costs, but to ask if they will do something for a certain price - before they quote you anything. Same thing goes for Taxi's by the way.

Because if you ask the gorl how much, she'll start at the max, especially if you're a gringo........

Some of those gorls were real hot and put on a good show on the runway they have there. Not just a lame pole dance, but a real show with a theme for every dance.

There is also another joint next door, which I did not go into and another "nightclub" that seemed full, on the other side as well. If you renting a car, the way to go is south of town. At the last traffic light before you leave town completely, turn left, inland. You'll go along a very shoddy road for a while with some motels on the left hand side and a truck area past that. Then the road curves to the left and a little further on the road gets better abd you'll then see the places mentioned here.
