I've used the same chap for letting an appartment 4 times when in prague and I've never been let down yet. He has various size appartments in various locations in Prague 1. Just sounds like you had a bit of bad luck, ive been here for 6 years and im in the tourism business, never had a problem. What was the name of the agency?

Yeah Manatus, but what they say they do and what they do are interely two different things! The appartment in question was in Slezska street, so close to city centre, but absolutely no info whatsoever when we arrived, although transport from airport was provided. The electricity went after the 3rd day and a woman came the 2nd morning claiming she should clean the room before the next people arrived (I had booked for 4 nights!). So my conclusion was that there were no organisation and they had a lack of communication which was devastating.

Thats weird as if you book an apartment from a internet apartment site they usually provide you with a contact during your stay who speaks English. Just do a search for Prague Apartments, there are serveral great companies that will even pick you up from the airport and take you directly to the apartment, show you where everything is and will provide you with contact details.

Hi Guys,
I'm going back to Prague in August with a mate, and so far we have tried hotels, and last time apartments. The Apartment history is a sad one, as there were suddenly no power one day and the lady on the other side of the phone line didn't understand a word of English. This was just one of the annoying things that made me hate apartments. On the other hand it's great for escort. That's why I wonder if you have some recommandations for apartments to rent in central Prague (8 days).
