Can someone help a newbie?

I have been becoming increasingly disgusted with eating meat these past few months and now I'm pursuing the vegetarian diet.

Are there any good online beginners guides?
well i dont really need to be weened off of meat cause i find it to be really gross now

But lettuce will become your best friend

Otherwise just google vegetarian or becoming a vegetarian. You will find tons of stuffs. That's what I did.
And then once you get some general knowledge about everything you can google specifics, i.e. vegetarian recipes, vegan vs vegetarian, etc etc etc.

I am sure there are. If you like mexican I can tell you a good meal. Bigger and better than what I used to make when I ate meat. Just get a skillet to medium high and add half a yves meatless ground, half a can of pinto beans, a whole can of black beans. Add some rotel (the can not the cheese) and some spices. I use a little, cumin and onions and I also add jalepenos and green olives. Mix it up and add tortilla chips and wala eat it every day for a healthy body. I eat it with a fork. Also, you can eat tofu in rice. Just mix it on a skillet with some vegetables and vegetable oil and some seasonings for good chinese food. You still have all the same spices you used to have. if you're grossed out by a common food, then that makes you a picky eater. That really has only one solution, which is to stop eating the foods that gross you out. I'm not really sure what you need our help with. I guess my only advice is to make sure you're getting enough protein from a different source.

Being vegetarian does not mean that your food needs to be tasteless. Millions of Indians are vegetarian and their food is extremely tasty. My husband is definitely not vegetarian, but when we are in India he is quite happy to eat vegetarian food several times a week. Western vegetarian recipes on the other hand may not have the same 'oomph' due to the more bland nature of western cuisine. It's just the way it is.

You need to become learned in the many names of animal based ingredients that are in many items. I was surprised when my daughter became a vegetarian how many things she couldn't eat because of them.
