Brazilizan Massage?

Had a call at the office yesterday from a guy who asked if we did "brazilian massage".... Never heard of it (and said no). I did a google search - everything that was listed in the search was stuff we don't provide in the office - if you know what I mean... ANYWAY, I thought I would bounce this off all of you to see if this is a new (legitimate) modality, or yet another way for guys to request a (hint, hint) *full body* massage??

There is no such listing for that modality in the ABMP Touch Resource Guide either. I have a feeling thats some sort of 'code word' for something non-legit.

There is a couple around here calling spas from a gentleman stating that the wife is from Brazil, and likes Brazillian massage. He goes on to say she doesn't like draping, likes her breasts massaged, and btw can he stay in the room, cause he likes to see other men touching his wife!

I think we may be talking about a similar kind of massage... and safe to say, you don't offer it!

Yeah, that's pretty much what I thought, but didn't know if there was some 'brand new style' out there that I just hadn't heard about yet.

The interesing thing was that he was asking if we did Brazilian massage or Thai massage. I know that there are other legit therapies that are sometimes mixed in with adult/erotic services (i.e. melb made mention of this happening with lomi lomi...)

Anyway, I think it may be safe to say that we can add 'brazilian massage' to our list of red-flag requests!

Who knows maybe brazilian massage is in reference to the open festive lifestyles practiced in Brazil. Isn't there like a brazilian wax job or something.

I never heard of that modality either. I too would think its a code for "other"services.

Thai massage is a legit modality, done clothed, but Asian massage is pretty much the other type of service :shock: I've not heard of a Brazilian massage. I think he may of been getting his Thai/Asia mixed up and Brazilian waxing/massage mixed up to, not that Brazilian waxing is the other type of service, but there are definitely guys out there that get brazilian waxing done for the exhibitionist value, painful way to be an exhibitionist, but apparently a male brazilian wax is less painful than having your chest waxed. There is a waxing message board like this and the Brazilian waxing area is the only place I've seen more therapists having to deal with male clients wanting more than the standard service than massage therapists!

The confusion with lomi lomi and adult services is mainly due to the minimal draping. I would imagine, if there is a legit Brazilian massage, it probably has minimal draping too.

I had never heard of Brazilian massages before, but when I saw this thread, the first thing I thought of was the Brazilian waxing that my esthetician friend has told me about and because of that a red flag immediately went up.

When I get a call requesting a massage service that I don't provide I will generally do my best to refer the potential client to someone else who could help them, but thanks to this thread I will emphatically say "NO" if I ever do get a call for Brazilian massage.
