Best way to introduce a puppy...?

What do you think is the best way to introduce a puppy to an existing dog so the existing one doesn't feel put out, given that they can't be introduced on a walk because obviously the puppy can't go walking yet?

Would you feed the older dog first so he knows he is top dog or treat them equally?

I know people have different approaches, so I'm interested in everyone's views and as much information as possible would be much appreciated.

Have the exsisting dog in a room and go in the room with the puppy held away slowly put the puppy close the other dog so they can sniff then just get closer and closer until u put the puppy down but say very close that's how my brother did it with his jack Russell puppy and our family dog a lab

Go outside to the park or off your property so older dog meets pup on neutral ground. Good Luck!

You touched on the answer within your question. Don't just feed the older dog first. Do everything first for that dog. Feeding, Grooming Fussing, Training; the lot. That way you are widening the difference whereas most people make the mistake of trying to equalise them.
