Best Deals in Costa Rica

It occured to me that I've been asking the wrong questions
on this forum. I'm going to remove my opinions from this
post and listen to any suggestions the group is nice enough
to offer me.


Where are the best deals in San Jose and other areas of Costa
Rica? Is the quality of girls in the virtually unknown bars/brothels
different than the Gulch?

I guess the best deal of all is landing a non-pro. Where is the best
town/bar to accomplish such a feat? What is the probability of success?

You also asked about Jaco in another thread, there are a couple new trip reports with details on the action there at the Beatle bar. Also do a search on "Jaco" or "Beatle" (or is it "Beetle"?) for tons of info...

What exactly do you mean by non-pro? A regular normal chica, or a part-time working girl?

Very good post you linked here. Due to having a shitty monitor,
I don't like reading long trip reports detailing how some guy likes
his coffee in the morning or how Costa Rica helped him invent
a new technique for removing nasal hair.

Bitching about Blue Marlin price structure is no different
that bitching about Blacks in BA or Yab Yam in Amsterdam.
Every country in the World, and probably every large city,
has a clip joint.

The prices listed there are more in line with where I want
to take my budget. The first trip to SJ, I didn't give a shit
about my budget because I wasn't seriously considering
spending months at a time abroad.

It's very different shopping for a weekend get away than
shopping for the next several months to years!

I would say Oasis and the places in the area are the best daytime deal in San Jose.Guess that is why I go there first thing every day.I almost always have the pleasure of being the girls first customer of the day.Just a bit over $20 for an attractive girl with a good attitude often with a very nice massage as well.A great value as far as I am concerned.For evenings it is off to Arcadas and Molino Rojo which are about next door.Also under the $20 limit.Just my personal favorites for value.rbc100

2) Your opinion of SJO-

Thus far I've been to cities in 4 continents and SJ is the biggest pile of dog shit that I've seen to date.

So why are you here, and why would you want to go back?

Honestly, at 300$ a night San Jose would be one of the most
expensive mongering destinations in the world.

Really, been to Vegas lately? Or any other major city in the states.

Fortunately, I've never paid anywhere near that. The few other guys I know that have been to SJ did not pay anywhere near that either. Unless something has changed dramatically in the past few months, I
don't think there is a girl in BM worth anywhere near that..
I would agree that faced with a 300$ prospect, I would
decline. However, 100$ for one hour really isn't any better
of a deal. In both cases, I would have to walk away and look
for a better deal somewhere else.

Agreed, but I don't think anyone actually said they PAID 300, but that's what the chicas ask, just like they ASK 100 for an hour, but since you've been to CR you already know this, and since you've mongered all over the world you should know how the negotiation game works, c'mon, it's no secret that deals can be found much cheaper if you're willing to work at a little...

I personally garuantee you I won't

I really do think San Jose as a city is a dump, though.
The only reason I would ever go there is the girls.
Although, they tend to lack in the looks department,
I found some very nice girls there. There is a big difference
between someone whose selling an experience and someone who
is just letting me Phuck her for 15 minutes then running out
the door.

True, I never paid 100$ in San Jose for an hour.
Typically, I can get a girl to agree for 3 hours for
that price. Once a girl finds out what you paid
another chica, I think it will be hard to go lower.
I had this experience with the two Columbian,
blonde sisters.

I'm not saying people shouldn't go to San Jose. However,
I do recognize it's limitations. Next time I'll be sure to
check out some of the lower priced establishments mentioned,
I was instantely tied down with regulars before and never
made it very far. Poor me!

IMHO, they'll tell each other that they got top dollars in spite of what they got.

Ding Dong, I always go elsewhere. I go to Canada, Europe (even
though I don't do much mongering there, although I might when I
finally hit some of the poorer countries), and am currentlyplanning
a larger expedition including Costa Rica and many southern nations.
So, in effect, I'm always going elsewhere except when I'm at a given
destination. I'm on the go as much as I can get time away for. Beats
setting at home watching TV.

It's ok to say that a city has a strong suit. If San Jose has such a thing, I think it would be the ease of mongering without a lot of traveling around to find girls. Other than that, I doubt many female tourist would cite San Jose as the highlight of their Costa Rican vacation. Perhaps, I'm wrong. Would your wife be more likely to enjoy San Jose or Tubbocan Springs (yes, I realize the spelling is probably wrong)?

First wife would have preferred San Jose. Would have enjoyed the National Theater, the Jade, Gold and Art museums. The Cathedral, the parks and squares with their street performers, etc.

Second wife would have preferred Tabacon Springs or the Pacific or Caribbean coast.

One was more into cultural things the other resorts and water. What they did share was the good manners to accept that people have differences and to bad mouth their choice of places to visit is boorish.

Oasis

Went to Oasis around earlier today and have to say they have some great choices. I was very happy with it and it is something to add to the things/girls you do before you die list. I never had been ther before and I was surprised by the level of talent. Check it out.
