Benton County massage therapist charged with unprofessional conduct for alleged sexual contact with patient - NBC Right Now

BENTON COUNTY, Wash. - A massage therapist from Benton County was charged in September by the Washington State Department of Health for unprofessional conduct for allegedly making sexual contact with a patient in Nov. 2023.

Court documents say Joseph Moraniec allegedly "rubbed [his patient's] genitals and exposed her breasts" during a massage therapy session on Nov. 5. The patient reported the contact on Nov. 17.

In May 2024, Moraniec was charged in Benton County Superior Court for one count of indecent liberties, leading to his September unprofessional misconduct charge from the Department of Health.

Moraniec's jury trial is scheduled for Feb. 24, 2025.
