Being on time for your appointments rant!!!

Ok boys,

A little help is needed here.

I had an appointment with Suzane @ AGS for 8pm tonight. I arrived at 7:50 and was told they were running a little behind and the wait would not be too long. Ok I thought, no problem. the was another guy waiting as well and he was told the same thing. We struck up a conversation while we waited and before I knew it it was 8:30. Finally, I am shown to my room and the explanation was that the person ahead of me was late for his appointment.. the gentleman who showed me to my room was very apologetic and knocked $20 off the door fee which was nice, but I still was a little pissed.. I can understand a 10 min wait but 1/2 hr?? WTF!!!

If the explanation for my waiting is true then: Boys please be on time!!!

If this explanation was not correct: Any advice?? Besides leaving!!!

I believe that if you make an appointment for a specific time, that time frame should be honored!!! I think the MP should cancel your appointment if you are 10 min late!!!

Similar thing on my last appt. @ Muse, although not to the same extent (10-15 mins maybe? It felt longer because I arrived ~10 mins early..).. but I was not in a hurry to get anywhere afterwards, and told the door girl (cannot remember her name..) not to rush things on my behalf; I'd rather have a good session (by giving my attendant an adequate amount of rest time between sessions) than an on-time one

I'm sure they blame it on other clients, but there are spas that rarely run late and there are others where it happens all the time - AGS is in the latter category because they view your appointment time as a ballpark guideline which they feel free to adjust depending on what's in their best interest. If you have an appointment for 8 pm and some other guy walks in at 7:40 wanting a 40 minute session with the same girl you've got booked at 8, they don't want to lose that money, and so voila they send him in for a 40 minute appointment and claim that the guy before you arrived 20 minutes late. But if someone else is truly that late and the girl is already booked for an appointment right afterwards, then the guy who is late should forfeit his session or take a shorter session so they can honor your appointment.

The best way to avoid that is to go to spas where don't take advantage of their clients in this way.

And folks, don't be late for Christina at SRM. She doesn't want every client to be delayed after you (and I doubt SRM or Muse would do what happened at AGS).

Sorry d_jedi. I'm notorious for going "a few minutes" over my time at Muse. So I apologize to you and others for whom I have caused a delay. I'm working on speeding things up and I am getting better.

My bad. However the best solution in such a case is to take advantage of the situation, if you know AGS runs late then ... run late. Problem solved.
Yes you have to wait, so know this in advance and take along ipod, DVD player, flesh light, etc.

Major pet peeve for me. I prefer MPs in part because of their convenience and flexibility, especially if I'm trying to squeeze in some naked time between meetings.

Fault runs on both sides. Guys should be on time, or call ahead if running late or can't show.

Ultimately, its the responsibility of MP management to keep things on schedule. Don't overbook, don't book back to back sessions, and for pete's sake, charge $ for guys who run over time. That's what you're selling.

Agree, i think the receptionist doing the bookings should be responsible for telling the client he was late and won't be able to stay.etc

Funny how this subject came up after something kinda similar happen to me this past saturday. Booked 2 days in advanced with Jamie@SRM just to ensure I was guaranteed the session seeing that I drove 3 hours to be in town that day on business. Anyways, I arrived 15 mins early and was told that she had been double booked and the other guy just arrived. "WTF r u serious, do I not get priority". The receptionist I think f@#ked up, was sorry and offered me 1/2 price room fee with a different girl. Fine I took the offer and saw Savannah who just was OK but not in Jamie's league. This type of screw up should not be expected from what is the #1 spa in toronto. Overall I was very disappoitment in the spa for allowing that to happen. "Sorry Jamie, you missed out. When we meet, I WILL rock your world.

I do not think they would hold a slot for 30+ minutes (unless it is a regular) but all it takes is 2 lates (at 5-10 mins each) and you are easily into the half hour range
Couple this with any delays spa might have (which they always blame on customer) and it happens

I booked an appointment with Asha at Sensual Spa recently and, after a relatively long drive, got there on time only to find that the receptionist screwed up and gave away my timeslot by mistake. Fair enough, people make mistakes. But a weak apology and $10 off the overpriced door fee with another girl who's available just didn't cut it for me. It seems to me that management sees clients just as human wallets -- and as long as there's another coming in the door shortly, they don't care if they inconvenience and piss off a few. So I walked out and popped into Allure nearby (a much classier place with much hotter girls). I was lucky to find Stacy free and had a great time with her. She's well reviewed here, so not much to add.

I doubt I'll return to Sensual unless client service improves. Why risk the time and effort when there's much better options around?

I can't believe that they would have the MPA wait for a regular. the Rule is you have 10 minuites or less to be there. if you are not then the next one in line gets your appointment. (BTW thanks for whoever missed their last appointment with Christina as SRM). And Especially if you are a regular, you would call if you know you are not going to make you so it doesn't look like you are dumb-ass for a no-show.

It's incredibly rare that an appointment is seriously delayed at Allure and at AGS it's happens all the time. The difference for me is that Allure is way more business-like about keeping their appointments. Haven't had as many problems at SRM either, but AGS it's happened so egregiously on so many occasions with so many ridiculous cover stories that I don't go there any more unless I've got at least an hour free after my appointment time.

Should be 10 minutes between appts anyways to allow for clean up and freshening.

Could also give guys the option of shortening their appt or lose the slot if they're late.

Don't want to hijack this thread, but I had a recent "time" problem in the same league, with Muse. I made a 45 minute appt at 5:00, arrived about three minutes late because of traffic. Just to make sure you get the frame here, I was outside, done, sitting in my car at 6:05, which is one hour and two minutes later. Reception, take the room fee, show me to the room, shower - that all took about seven minutes, so attendant comes in at 5:10. Finish session about 5:50, she showers, I shower and dress while she cleans the room, we leave the room at 6:00, and the receptionist says I went over the 45 minutes and owe another $20 room fee for the hour. When I say we only had a 45 minute session and then I showered while attendant cleaned up, receptionist says MY SHOWER TIME AT THE END COUNTS AS TIME I HAVE TO PAY FOR, AND THAT'S MUSE POLICY.

In my six years in this game I have never run into this policy before, no other major MP has it (and I go to them all), and Emily most certainly did not learn it at Lexa/Star. Also, it's a total rip off of clients. If the receptionist wasn't drinking her own brand of Koolaid, and this is really is Muse's policy, then be warned. You will only get a 35 minute session when you pay for 45 minutes at Muse.

Just so there's no confusion: I'm pretty sure if someone walks in 15 minutes before your appointment,most spas will take that guy as a walk in so they don't lose a customer,just in case your late or you don't show up. They then blame the aforementioned customer for being late to you. Happens every where.

Even on appointments, the moment I enter the spa, I let the reception / mpa that I have to be somewhere at a certain time so I won't waste my time or hers if everthing needs to be moved. Although from time to time, I still wait for 5 to 10 mins and that's how long i'm willing to wait.

However, it's hard to see the point in showing up on time if they're gonna make you wait 30 minutes
